Our History
Since its inception in 1970, MSCEB has been contributing to the overall growth of the Kingdom’s infrastructure, the aspirations of Mohammed Salahuddin and Thamer Salahuddin holds true to this day; to deliver quality projects through expertise, innovation and design excellence.
In the year of 1970 a young Architect by the name of Mohamed Salahuddin started his career in the field of Architecture and Engineering, His career first started off by solely designing a building that was constructed within a year. In that same year, Mr. Salahuddin set up his first office in Manama opposite to Salahuddin building.

Sushil Kher, a graduate of Chandigarh College of Architecture, India, has been with the firm since January 1989 with an overall working experience of 42 years. He took charge of MSCEB’s Gudaibiya Office as Projects Director in 2001 after initially working in the organization at various levels as Architect, Sr. Architect, Project Manager, Team Leader etc. for the preceding 13 years until year 2001. He now holds the position of Executive Director at MSCEB. As an Executive Director, Sushil is responsible for all Managerial, Technical, Financial and Administrative functions for the smooth functioning of the day to day activities of the office.

Sebastian Kasjanis a Chartered Engineer with Master of Engineering degree and over 18 years professional experience in building services.
He has been involved in hundreds of projects to date of different types but mostly large scale and complex designs of Healthcare, Hospitality, Municipal and Commercial facilities, including design and commissioning of large Data Centres and multi phased “live” building refurbishments and project construction budgets up to 1,4 billion BHD. His project portfolio includes projects completed in Europe and Middle East, North Africa regions and he is familiar with various international standards (ie. ASHRAE, CIBSE, Building Regulations, British Standards, BSRIA, HVCA, HTM, HBN, HFN, Saudi Building Codes, International Codes by International Codes Council, NFPA).

He has a broad experience of working with clients in various countries in the Middle East with experience in the delivery of projects adopting standard operating procedures to promote uniformity and efficiency. His team ensures that the works are executed as per the Drawings and Specifications and the Contract is administered in accordance with the Conditions of Contract.
His experience of working closely with owners, architects, consultants, contractors and other stakeholder groups within the Middle East offers an invaluable understanding of the potential challenges that projects can face in the region. The Projects completed and delivered under his leadership includes Corporate, Hospitality, Residential, Industrial, Institutional, Automotive, Mixed use, Retail, Mosques, Sports, Fuel Stations, and others.

Rashid is a highly dedicated and technically competent structures engineer with 30 years of postgraduate experience gained in theKingdom of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and India.
Rashid has significant experience in the middle east market allowing him to be involved in some of the most complex and exciting projects in the region. Rashid is a core member of the Structural Department, and he has been with MSCEB since 2007 and has design and managed large-scale Commercial, Residential, Institutional, and Industrial projects.
In addition to mentoring and providing technical guidance to the young engineers his Primary role is to prepare fee proposal, Structural Concept design, detailed design review, Carry out QA/QC and Value Engineering of projects, Structural investigation & assessment of existing structures and Post Contract Services.

They were all marked up as landmark buildings in the Country. He is well-versed with FIDIC Conditions of Contract, BS Codes, International Standards and Statutory Rules and Regulations.
