MSCEB Awards Salahuddin Award for Architectural Creativity 2023
MSCEB awarded Salahuddin Architectural Innovation Award for the seventh consecutive year to student Noura Mohammed Al Dossari for her excellence in the architectural design of the graduation project and student Layla Habib Yahya for her excellence in the interior design of the graduation project during the recent tribute ceremony at the University of Bahrain.
This award bears the name of the distinguished Bahraini architect, Engineer Salahuddin bin Ahmed bin Hassan Ibrahim, whose outstanding work extends till now. Bab Bahrain and many other projects testify to the quality of his designs, which made him one of the pioneers of the modern architectural school in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He died at age in 1957.
The Executive Director of MSCEB stated, Engineer Thamer Salahuddin said that this award aims to recognize the prospects of competition between the students of architecture and engineering at the University of Bahrain for excellence and creativity in the project design process and encourage them to use the latest technology and science in the building design process. This sector has a fundamental impact in highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain in the modern and superior architectural image.
The award is awarded annually by MSCEB for graduation projects at the Faculty of Engineering in accordance with the nomination criteria and rules governing them.
