MSCEB awards the Salahuddin Award for Architectural Creativity for the year 2022

MSCEB awarded Salahuddin Architectural Innovation Award for the sixth consecutive year to student Salman Khalid Al Hajri for his excellence in the architectural design of the graduation project and student Aisha Saqr Al Ansari for her excellence in the interior design of the graduation project.

This award bears the name of the distinguished Bahraini architect, Engineer Salahuddin bin Ahmed bin Hassan Ibrahim, whose outstanding work extends to today. Bab Al-Bahrain and many other projects testify to the quality of his designs, which made him one of the pioneers of the modern architectural school in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He passed away in 1957.

The Managing Director of MSCEB, Arch. Thamer Salahuddin said that this award aims to open up the prospects of competition between the students of architecture and engineering at University of Bahrain for excellence and creativity in the project design process and encourage them to use the latest technology and science in the building design process. This sector has a fundamental impact in highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain in the modern and sophisticated architectural picture.

It is awarded annually by MSCEB for graduation projects at the College of Engineering in accordance with the nomination criteria and rules governing them.
