Project overview
The West Expansion extends The Avenues – Bahrain along Manama’s seafront, adding 38,400 m of leasable space in 222 retail and commercial units, with entertainment, a family entertainment center, a supermarket, and approximately 1,275 parking spaces at basement and ground level — strengthening a major retail, leisure, and entertainment waterfront destination.
As Lead Consultant for Architecture, Engineering Design and Construction Supervision, MSCEB coordinated multidisciplinary design and construction supervision, integrating the extension with the existing Avenues, defining a distinct identity for new districts, and enhancing the waterfront experience. Retail, dining, entertainment, and public spaces — including an ice-skating rink, Souq, and extended promenade — are supported by district cooling, ventilation energy recovery, BMS monitoring, LED and intelligent lighting, and condensate and greywater treatment.
The result is an expanded destination that brings together architecture, engineering, functionality, and visitor experience at a significant scale — reflecting MSCEB’s ability to deliver integrated consultancy services for complex landmark developments while maintaining its commitment to “Quality is our tradition.”
